Our annual listing of the top 100 Latino Entrepreneurs returns with some new names and some familiar ones. We began our search by looking at companies with at least $10 million in annual revenues that were at least 50 percent Hispanic-owned. From those companies, the ones with the largest growth in revenues from 2005 to 2006 were selected for the E100.
Latinos businesses are growing. According to the U.S. Census, Latino-owned businesses averaged three times the national growth rate for all businesses between 1997 and 2002.

The family-owned company has a long history, established by Sam Williams in 1952. Jose Rodriguez, a native of Cuba, joined the company in 1977 and bought it from his father-in-law in 1999. The company focuses on street, highway and underground utility work projects in South Florida. Its biggest clients are the state of Florida and local governments in the tri-county area of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
